Roof Racks & Bed Racks in Kansas City
At Adventure Motors, we design and install roof racks, bed racks, and crossbars built to handle the weight you put on them. From rooftop tents and awnings to traction boards and spare fuel, we spec every platform around what you're actually mounting, then install it so it stays sealed, quiet, and secure at highway speed. Trust Adventure Motors to build a rack system you can load with confidence.
A rack is a load-bearing part of your rig, not an accessory. We match the platform to your roof or bed, work out static and dynamic load limits for what you're actually mounting — tent, awning, traction boards, spare fuel — and install it so the hardware, the seals, and the vehicle's roof structure all agree.

Mounted to Carry a Real Load
Rooftop tents put hundreds of pounds up high, and dynamic load ratings are far lower than static ones. We check your vehicle's limits before we spec the rack, so you find out here rather than on the highway.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much weight can my roof rack hold?
Two different numbers matter: static load (parked, e.g. a rooftop tent with people in it) is much higher than dynamic load (driving). Dynamic limits are typically 150–300 lbs depending on the vehicle and rack. We confirm both for your specific platform before specifying anything.
Will a roof rack cause wind noise or leaks?
Not when it's installed correctly. Noise usually comes from the wrong crossbar spacing or a missing wind fairing, and leaks come from drilling without proper sealing. We install to the manufacturer's pattern and seal every penetration.
Can I still fit a rooftop tent and an awning?
Usually yes — that's the most common combination we build. We'll lay out the rack so the tent, awning, and any lighting don't fight each other for space.
