Slides into truck bed

Orvis Special Edition Camper from Four Wheel Campers for Sale in Kansas City, MO

ORVIS and Four Wheel Campers have crafted the ultimate pop-up truck camper for full-sized trucks, designed specifically to elevate fly fishing adventures.

Purpose-Built for Fishermen

The Orvis Special Edition is a collaboration between ORVIS and Four Wheel Campers, and they describe it as the first pop-up truck camper purpose-built for fishermen. That’s not marketing dressing on a standard camper — the fishing features are structural.

Two of them do most of the work. A lockable rod bunker carries up to six fly rods, up to 11 feet long broken down in half. And a dedicated mud locker gives you waterproof storage with a drain, so waders and wet gear have somewhere to go that isn’t the inside of the camper.

Hawk or Grandby, Full-Size Only

The Orvis edition is built on the full-size slide-in platform in two sizes — the Hawk for roughly 6 to 6.8-foot beds, and the Grandby for 8-foot beds. If you’re in a mid-size truck, this isn’t the one; come talk to us and we’ll point you at a model that fits.

Configuration, sizing and availability are set by Four Wheel Campers and ORVIS. Contact us for what can be ordered right now.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Orvis edition special?

It's a premium special-edition build with upgraded outfitting. Contact us for current availability and configuration.

What are the rod bunker and mud locker?

The rod bunker is a lockable storage tube for up to six fly rods, up to 11 feet long broken down in half, so rods travel made-up and secure. The mud locker is waterproof storage with a drain — somewhere for waders and wet boots that keeps them out of the living space.

Do I need to be a fly fisher to want one?

No — it’s a well-specified full-size slide-in either way. But you’d be paying for a rod bunker and a mud locker, so if you never fish, one of the standard Hawk or Grandby builds is the more sensible buy.

Does it fit a mid-size truck?

No — it’s built on the full-size platform, as a Hawk for around 6 to 6.8-foot beds or a Grandby for 8-foot beds. If you’re in a Tacoma or similar, we’d point you at a Swift, Fleet or Raven, or at the CampOut.
